MANUFACTURING: THE NEW GENERATION
Practical applications of academic concepts are certain to engage students’ interests in careers related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Manufacturing: The New Generation will introduce students to these concepts and to related careers. Program features include:
•A 48-page student publication with articles that promote interest in STEM-related careers
•A Teaching Guide with 31 scenario-based student projects that integrate academic standards and
career cluster knowledge and skills
•A career interest inventory, salary and education data and
a pullout high school and postsecondary planning guide
Teaching Guide Highlights
Student projects in the teaching guide are organized by the Manufacturing Career Cluster pathways – Production; Manufacturing Production Process Development; Maintenance, Installation and Repair; Quality Assurance; Logistics and Inventory Control; and Health, Safety and Environmental Assurance. Features include:
•STEM-related and communication arts projects that give students the opportunity to analyze downtime costs, test oil, analyze shipping and more
